BELIEVE

Sunday, October 8th, 2006

Have you ever been an underdog. Where the chips were stacked against you. Every where you turned no one gave a chance. When close friends wished you good luck but secretly under their breaths said, ‘Glad I’m not him/her.’

Did this make you fold your tent and head home so to speak or did you hold the intention inside of – ‘Screw you pal, I’m going to show you what I’m made of.’

Today my former college, BGSU, plays the number 1 FB team in the country, Ohio State. Though most have written this game off as a ‘W’ for the bucks before the game every starts, I’ll take the under dog 10 times out of 10 no matter what the circumstances.

If ten times they get their butts whopped – the 11 time I’ll still say, ‘Stick it to ‘em.’

In 1992, my team played Ohio State as well. The entire summer our coach shared a power phrase, ‘Respect ALL, Fear None.’ Being the entrepreneur that I was, I created t-shirts of the big game and sold it to players, coaches, and family members at one team picnic.

It was my 2nd season as a sophomore starting at middle linebacker. To say the
least I was a bit anxious. This was the team I grew up wathcing on tv. Our coach at the time just came from OSU and to get us prepared he hung a picture of the horse shoe on our team wall the previous week. Like a general leading the troops into battle he did an incredible job of painting the picture of how it would be like going to play in front of 100 of thousands of people.

‘Men, we’re going into a hornets nest. You’ll hear me say things this week to the press I dont want you to listen to. I’m gonna talk about how tough its going to be. How challenging. How we’ll be lucky to get a couple first downs,’ Blackney commanded.

‘But this is not what I’m really thinking,’ he said. ‘Men it all boils down to one word, BELIEVE. What your mind can believe, your body can achieve. Believe in yourselves. Believe in your teammates. Believe in the game plan the coaches put
together for you’ his voice boomed.

‘These boys are no different than you. I’ve coached there before. They put there
pants on one leg at a time just like you.’

That day thee stadium was packed with 94,000 screaming fans (at the time the most fans ever in the Shoe). On the field, collectively the fans sounded as if they were
3 inches from your ear screaming at the top of their lungs. So our focus and concentration had to be sharp. We went out that game and played our butts off.
Our defense played great holding them to 245 yards TOTAL offense. That game our defense took flashy pretty boy, Kirk Herbstreit, out of the game.

Our quarterback threw – not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, but 6 – interceptions. Given this, we lost by a couple of touchdowns.

However, it was a great lesson in driving through fear to face adversity head on.

You can do the same with what hhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifas you quaking with fear and anxiety. As Emerson says, ‘Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain.’

One way to overcome fear is to inject power thoughts, like BELIEVE, into your workouts. Simply toy around with the notion that anything that can be believed by the
mind can be achieved by the body.
Doing this will strengthen the mental muscle as well as the physical muscles. By the end of the workout you’ll be more apt to handle whatever life throws at you.

For a great all in one workout that pumps up the chest, back and arms while increasing your wind and strengthening your calves, legs and glutes, visit This Linebacker workout will eliminate your fears and send your confidence soaring in a rough tough
kind of way.

Punch Procrastination Right in the Face

Thursday, October 5th, 2006

Was on a coaching call last night
listening to someone discuss their current frustration
with not being able to get anything done, i.e. – projects, exercise and so on.

This person said yeah I’ll plop down on the coach
and put a show on the Tv and watch it.

I’ll then get the urge to start my project and then a little
voice will say, only five minutes more of this show
then you can go. So I munch on a couple more chips
and that time passes.

Ten bags of chips later they realize three hours have past – nothing
is done and they feel like complete garbage.

How many of us can relate to that story. Maybe not as extreme but we all
have fallen victim to the Procrastination Slug. Me-self included.

At some point you have to lace up the gloves and punch that
sum-b8tch in the jaw and say – “You cant control me. I CONTROL ME.”
I am positive when you mentally take charge like this YOU WILL get off your butt
and get something done.

No one controls you. YOU CONTROL YOU>

I have included a visual of “Enduro Man” doing it for you to mentally picture the next time
the slug comes round. Bye, bye little slug.

After telling the slug to hit the bricks what I tell myself is I’m going for five minute walk. Then I wind
up doing all sorts of excises on my walks that enhance my workout. Ones
that can be found in Triple Your Endurance.

You can apply this method to anything in your life. To write a book. How about getting
just a title down. Can you do that.
I am willing to bet once you start peckin away
at the computer you will have the title and at
least a paragraph written.
Something milluyans of people cant even say they have.

Skys the limit on what you can achieve with this mentality.

When you apply it to exercise, slowly but surely and
for GOOD the fat will
fly away.

One way to apply this method is to jumping rope.
Do you know that jumping rope for five minutes is like running for 15 minutes.
My program has simple easy to follow workouts that someone from
their 30s on up to their 60s can follow.

To start twirling that rope and kissing that fat goodbye once
and for all — go to Linebacker Fintess PRONTO.

Unleash Your Endurance,
