These days its very easy to get distracted, no?
Well, here is a little tip I have been using
lately that gets mega results.
Its called the Quick Trip.
Say you are marching along during your day
and you get an unproductive thought flash
through your head…wonder whats happening
over at Facebook. Or lemme check out ESPN
for the latest scores and recap. Basically, find
something that is your distraction and right before
that, say to yourself, “I’m gonna take a quick trip
on over to…pick something that needs to get done…
and go do it.”Â Hence, the name take a quick trip.
Dont think. Just do.
Make it a quick reflex reaction. Pop!
When you pile enough of these onto your
day, you can accomplish a ton.
So for example when you get up and you
have the urge to sit in front of your computer,
(this helps if you are actually in front of your puter)
say to yourself, “Self, lets take a quick trip to
the garage to do some belly burning LB fitness.”
“And when I am done, I can go check out what
is happening in the world.”
If when you sit in front of your puter
and challenge yourself to another round of Quick Trip
you might be able to get the nagging project chipped away
at…maybe even completed.
Give the Quick Trip a try to get your much needed exercise
and other tasks done to be more productive and HAPPY.
