Lebron Who??

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

Well, the season is off and running in Cleveland
for the Cavs and last night they stunned the Celtics.

Beat ‘em 95-87.

The night before the Celt’s beat the Miami heat, the same team Lebron plays for
after he left Cleveland last year.

When you put these two equations together,
one could say the Cavs are better than the Heat.

Talk about a dream come true for heartbroken, deflated
Clevelanders.  The season will be interesting
to say the least.  The Cavs still have their work cut
out for them. However, this shows that in
in sports or in life when you play with HEART and
when you play with a chip on your shoulder… anything
can happen.

Way to go Cleveland, keep it up.

Sports are a great metaphor for life. Using sports stories as such
can lift you from the doldrums and see your challenges
in a new light. Casting a new light on them allow you to move
through it with greater ease.

This is why I wrote the book Tackling Life’s Problems..
because though it may see you are down and out
with whatever challenge you face, someone else has
faced it and can give you the answers to pull you through
the tough times.

Check it out here.

Tell your friends and family about it.

It makes a perfect gift around the holidays.

Do so and I’ll gladly autograph copies for you and send
it out!

Mark Twain Said it Best

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Came across a great quote…

“Twenty Years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didnt do that by the ones you did.  So throw off the bowlines. Sail AWAY from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

No Sleep til Brooklyn

Wanted to let you know I am in the process of
switching email providers.  Along with that and
all the work I have been plowing through lately.. this has kept me from writing you.

Sorry for this.  Will be back as soon as things settle.

And there are many new things to announce when I do.

Until then, keep moving your body
in short burst movements to burn maximum amount
of fat in quickest time available. Ones that are anaerobic in nature
and have you sucking wind fast.. just like I teach in both
these programs…

When you do… you’ll  be surprised how fast the fat falls from
your frame.  Get after it, my friend!

Oh, and thanks to all who wished me Happy B Day
yesterday on my Facebook page.. If we are not friends there. Time
to hook up.  You can find me here. Check it out.

What Trump Said About Success

Monday, October 4th, 2010

Success is all a mindset. If you are offtrack, change it
and INSTANTLY you’re back on track.

Lemme x-plane.

Was watching Trump’s show “The Apprentice”
the other night.  One guy from Michigan was
crying to the camera in his private interview about how bad he
has it. He calls in every month and answers
questions in order for his unemployment check
to arrive so that he can feed his kids.

Humiliated and worthless were the words he described himself and the situation.

In the war room at the end of the show
when Trump picks a subpar candidate to FIRE,
the subject of our MI friend was brought
up again.

He began playing his sad song to Trump
and the board how challengin it is and how
it impacts his level of play.

No more than a second passed and Donald
said the words that still ring in my ears, “SO…you
can change all that very quickly when you get back
on top and be successful.”

The reflex response from Trump resonated throughout
the war room like someone who was in the same shoes
as our contestant from Michigan- many, many times.

Not sure if half of the millions of viewers even picked
it up how much the Donald has failed along the way.

It reminds me of another maximum Ive gleaned along the way,
“Failure is never fatal and success is never final.”

So how do you define success. Everyone has their own
definition.  Some associate bank accounts with it.  Others attach
a level of fulfillment as the qualifier of success.

I like what  the great entrepreneur Mary Kay said…
“Success is measured by the amount of blood left on your knees!”

Meaning, how many times you have fallen yet continue to get up and fight.

I coach my daughters kindergarten soccer team and
though I have never played, the principles are all
the same as football, baseball, wrestling and so on.

One of those principles is to keep driving to the goal
until the goal is scored. Ninety percent of the time the young girls
shoot the goal and stand there.

Many times the first shot doesnt go in.  However,
the coaching point is if you follow the shot and drive the goal,
gravy shots are there for the picken.

Success is a mindset.

Whatever pursuit you may be after this same
principle applies.  Drive the goal and keep taking shots
until you SCORE.

I wish you nothing but success starting today
and continuing all week.
