5 Reps are Better than None

The other day I had a packed schedule of:

- Interviews.

- Cartoon deadlines.

- Writing for my private newsletter.

- Picking kids up from school.

And that just scratched the surface.

Instead of writing off exercise for the day
I adopted what many of my great coaches
taught me through the years.

Something is better than nothing.

Yes, something even if its 5-10 minutes a day
works wonders for your body.

This chaotic day I chose to sprint the hill in front of
my house only doing 5 sprints. I usually triple
that amount to wrap up a workout. But this day
I compromised to meet the demands of the day.

Now, do I make a habit in doing just this amount
everyday. No, I dont.

And I dont advise you to.

I do advise taking short breaks from your schedule
to keep your body revved up. That way
when it comes for your next full squadron workout attack
on your fats cells you’ve put in your time – even if its a little.

You have heard me preach it before,
and I’ll preach it again.

So here be a little reminder for you today.
Something is better than nothing.

This keeps momentum building to reach
your desired weight loss goals.

3.5 Ways to Reduce Man Boobs

You see these words more
and more if you look online
to describe men’s extra breast flesh.

Well, lets uncover a few ways
us men can reduce these
embarrassing knockers and the costs of each.

First, there are the magic pill formulas

You can take these pills if you want

side effects to occur.

My Russian doctor in college advised me
to stay away from any and all foreign substance

Unconventional Abs Training

Yesterday, I wanted to do something different
in my training and focus on my abs during a run.

There is something about moving your body through space
as apposed to sitting or stretchin’ in the same cramped area for
long periods of time (like typical ab workouts) -
that I found I enjoy much more.

So I went for a run.

Instead of my three mile run I sporadically do, I cut it to one.

And instead of running forward one foot in front of
the other, I incorporated the unusual movements, shuffles
and other Morning Glory exercises taught in
the Super Body Blitz.

So picture a variety of ways to move your body forward
without the typical boring movement as a runner might do,
changing up the movements every twenty yards with no rest in between.

And picture being done in 9-10 minutes. WOW.

Since I was performing unconventional exercises,
two woman passing on the towpath asked,  “What are you training for.”

“To always keep-this-OFF training,” and I patted my stomach
while twisting and flexing my core back and forth.

Truth is, the movements I performed hit every muscle in my legs and
also built lung power and my endurance as well. All the while tapping
and shaving the flab from my abs.

The key here is to find exercises that give you the biggest
bang for your Buick. But dont try and engineer these exercises on your own,
and complain to me about injuries. Learn the proper ways to
perfect these unusual movements so you remain pain free and flab free as well.

So if you want to cut your run time in half and double your fatloss results
give this a try.  You will strengthen your abs and experience an exhilarating post workout feeling from moving your body through space.

But if you are content staying in one confined area
for 30-40 minutes to do abs and it works for you, then thats fine too.
Who am I to tell you to do different.

R u frustrated with NO results

Most people are frustrated once they start a program
after a few days and dont see the results they were expecting.

The majority give up.

Has this ever happened to you.

Question is …  are you making progress.

Most definitely.

Lets look at something seemingly unrelated for
guidance on the matter.

In order to build any skyscraper, you must first dig
deep into the earth for a solid, strong foundation.

Can you see any results above ground
while the cement and girders are settling in the sod
deep underground.

No.

However, is this vital to the over all structure and well being of the building.

Heck yes.

Typically, you dont see any results when building a skyscraper until
a third of the way into the process.  Then the process seems
to go veery rapidly.

The same be true for any newbie starting a fitness plan.

No you dont see results right away. But thats okay, because the results
are coming and coming rapidly.

I know. I have coached several newbies on the path to fatloss.

Instead of focusing on the weigh scale. Focus on the activity scale.

Here is what I mean.

Dont get up every morning and jump on the scale.

Instead, when you are done with your exercise walk over
to your Linebacker Success charts and check off
that you exercised for the day.

Before long you’ll see your charts cluttered with check marks, notes, smiley faces,
X’s and so on. When you see your chart looking like this you will know you
are on the path to greatness.  And extreme fat loss.

Then after a couple weeks you can step up on the scale
and check out your personal meat numbers.

You’ll be thoroughly impressed – this I guarantee.

Dont give up when the needle on your scale doesnt budge…
Simply focus on the activity scale. You will feel much more at ease.

Then the results you originally intended will flow to you.
